SCS LSC167

This challenge was to make a card without using any stamps. I decided to use a sticker of Thomas the Tank engine to make a birthday card for my nephew. He'll be four next week and loves Thomas and his friends. I hope he likes it.

SCS Sketch Challenge 177

When I saw the SCS sketch for this week, I knew right away I wanted to use this stamp. I am falling in love with Changito! It's such a cute set of stamps. Plus monkeys are brown and that gives me an excuse to use pink and brown together . Again! I know I've been using this color combo way too much. It's hard to see in the photo but I added pink glitter to the balloon.
Stamps: Changito's Love Balloon
Paper: The Paper Studio Pink Random Dots

Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge 176

This was last week's sketch challenge: Here is what I came up with: I've had the Lovely as a Tree set for awhile and this is the first time I used it. I was attempting something a bit more masculine. I'm not sure how masculine this really is, though. I did manage to stay away from pink. That has to be a step in the right direction. Stamps: SU! Red and Blue Birthday Whimsy

I used some of my scrap pieces for this quick and simple card.

More Graduation Cards

I found this neat paper (DCWV Black Congrats) in my stash and decided to make a couple more graduation cards. I think the first one will go to our niece who graduates in a few days. I had already made one for her but I like this one better. I used her school colors in this one and it's much brighter and festive.

Mother's Day Card

This is the card I made for my mom for Mother's Day. Here is a link to the card I CASEd. I liked this card immediately because it's simple and sweet. I didn't have the Build-A-Brad so I used a regular white brad. I'm pleased with how it turned out. I hope she likes it.

Limited Supply Challenge #166

Last Friday's challenge was called Spotlight on Circles. The only tools to be used were circle punches. I really hope the scalloped circle punch counts! At least there are lots of "normal" circles in the patterned paper.

Paper: SCWV The Pocket Full of Posies Matstack

Purple Iris

I've had this stamp forever. I think it was the first stamp I bought many years ago. Back then I never seemed to find time to stamp. I saw a card on the Splitcoaststampers site recently using this stamp and knew I wanted to use it again. I saw this card and thought the technique would be nice for this iris.

Jeremiah 29:11

This card is for the Bible Verse Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. I'm going to give it to our niece for her upcoming graduation. The inside has a pocket to hold money. I got the directions from a book called "The Ultimate Paper Crafts Collection".

Splitcoast Limited Supply Challenge

I made this card for last week's Limited Supply Challenge. The rules: 1. Make a square card. 2. Use only scrap pieces. 3. Use ribbon or fiber scraps. 4. Use only ONE other embellishment. 5. Use any colors, stamps, and tools.

Son's Easter Cards

My son has developed an interest in making cards. I never thought I would be sharing my stamping supplies with a seven year old! He was very careful, though. I helped him with the punches, cut the patterned paper eggshell, and punched holes for the brads in the flowers. He did the decorating himself. He was such a perfectionist! He said he wanted them to look like a grown-up had made them. He was very proud with the results.
